Who is Jesus, Really? A 7-Part Journey Living Water and a New Birth: Part 6

You may have heard of Him.
You may have been taught about Him.
You may have even sung about Him at Christmas or Easter.

But knowing about Jesus is not the same as knowing Him.

For many women, Christianity has been handed down in fragments, a verse here, a sermon there, maybe even a painful encounter with a church that seemed more interested in control than compassion. And yet, maybe a bit like me - deep down inside you, something whispers: What if I’ve never actually met the real Jesus?

Let me give you the 6th key part of this based on some of my studies and revelations that can change how you see Him forever. I'm not here to give you clichés. I want you to meet Jesus as He really is; more like a Eastern Master whose words still rearrange the human heart, the only Teacher whose free gift is grace, and the only God who calls women into a destiny equal in value and dignity to men.

Living Water

Whether you are respected or rejected, Jesus offers the same invitation: a life overflowing with living water.

“Whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” ~John 4:14
“Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.” ~John 3:3

Water That Remembers
In John 3 and 4, Jesus meets two very different people

1 - Nicodemus, a respected religious leader. And

2 - a Samaritan woman, socially outcast and weighed down by scandal.

To both, He offers the same thing: a fresh start and a life filled with the Spirit.

Water is never just water in Scripture. It is the first element to move in creation, flowing before there was light.
It carried the ark to safety.
It parted to free a nation.
It poured from Christ’s side at the Cross.
It still speaks with holy memory..... it knows how to cleanse, to bless, to restore.

Living water is not simply a poetic metaphor. It is a spiritual reality: the presence of God flowing into you and then through you, washing away the residue of shame and replacing it with the life of the Kingdom.

And new birth is not about erasing your story. It is about re-rooting your identity so deeply in God that your past no longer defines your future.

Whether you come to Him from a place of honor or humiliation, Jesus says the same thing: Drink deeply. Be made new.

What is something you are afraid of? Where in your life might you still be living thirsty, and what would it look like to receive living water there?

Closing Blessing
Blessed is the one who drinks deeply of the water only Christ can give. She is renewed, sustained, and overflowing with the life of the Spirit — a spring that never runs dry.
